Abstract: | Is your Oracle Portal site protected from a disaster? How long would your site be unavailable if your primary data center was offline or destroyed? This presentation will cover creating a disaster recovery site for Oracle Portal and automatically transferring the data from the production site to the recovery site. Using database scripts, shell scripts, and Oracle Grid Control, we have automated the transfer of data to our disaster recovery site. Learn the automated method to keep your Oracle Portal site always updated and available at your hot disaster recovery site. This method can also be used to create Oracle Portal sites for testing of upgrades and new development. Other disaster recovery methods will be discussed as options that were considered. |
