Mark Rittman , Rittman Mead Consulting    Biography

Objectives: How to start working with Oracle Real-Time Decisions
How to include data mining and predictive models in their application
How to take their business decision and apply it to the RTD framework
Abstract: In this session, we will take a brief look at Oracle Real-Time Decisions, the predictive modeling and decision automation element of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition, and see how this technology can be applied to a wide range of business decisions. We will then go into the tool and take a look at two examples where Real-Time Decisions is used to create a self-learning, predictive model that can be used to automate firstly a call-center cross-selling scenario, and then a scenario where orders are placed with a number of competing suppliers. In both examples, will see how a project is constructed, how RTD concepts are applied to the scenarios, how RTD leverages data mining and predictive modeling techniques, and how RTD functionality is then incorporated into your Java business applications and BPEL business processes.
