Objectives:	Learn server-side utilities that will enhance DBA effectiveness. Learn database-side utilities that will enhance DBA effectiveness. Recognize how easy it is to set up and utilize many of these utilities.
Abstract:	Oracle Database administration effectiveness can be enhanced by a variety of built in, home grown, and third party utilities, both on the database and server side. In this session, geared toward the novice DBA, you will be presented with some basic utilities that can enhance DBA effectiveness. Server-side utilities will be Linux based. This session is not an in depth "how to" on any of the utilities described. It is meant to demonstrate a sampling of utilities available and to demonstrate how easy it is to implement many of them. Attendees will leave with documentation on the utilities highlighted in the session.
