Abstract:	Oracle Database 11g introduces a new binary XML storage format for both structured and unstructured XML data. Along with XMLIndex and SecureFiles, binary XML storage format provides high performance storage and retrieval of XML data with greater flexibility and dramatically reduced storage requirement. This session provides an in-depth look at binary XML and XMLIndex in Oracle Database 11g and attendant new features such as streaming XML validation and streaming XPath.
