Abstract:	Data Guard is the DR solution for Oracle. Data Guard Broker allows for easy switchovers and failovers requiring little interaction from the DBA. Oracle Enterprise Manager uses Data Guard Broker during a GUI-driven switchover. As usual, there are a few things that the DBA must know in order to keep Data Guard Broker running smoothly. For example, between RAC and a single instance database, you only need one apply node on the RAC end. The Data Guard Broker can make life easier once you trust it and this session can show you how to configure Data Guard Broker so that it will be a reliable, trustworthy component in your disaster recovery solution.
