Abstract: | Oracle Text provides a very robust and powerful means to perform content indexing and text retrieval for a wide variety of source data. This presentation provides some practical examples of how Oracle Text indexes can be created and optimized, including the implementation of table partitioning for fast content retrieval. Best practices for maintaining a text index for optimal performance are examined. Examples of how to implement Oracle Text will be reviewed as well as implementation on the web using XML Web services and JSP. The benefits of Oracle Text will also be discussed as we examine real world applications within the intelligence community. |
