Objectives:	Prepare an environment for RMAN and run RMAN backups, duplicates and restores. Test a recovery ahead of time and validate databases and backups. Use RMAN to manage metadata, backups and archivelogs.
Abstract:	Title: RMAN Simplified (Really) Recovery Manager (RMAN) is Oracle's preferred method for database backup and recovery. When RMAN is properly implemented and thoroughly tested , DBAs can sleep soundly at night. Yet some still shy away from RMAN because of its perceived complexity. In this presentation, we?ll bust those myths. We?ll configure and execute a simple, yet thorough, RMAN backup script. We?ll then use that backup to demonstrate several recovery scenarios.
