Present list of Best Practices with advice on what to avoid & what to implement.
Abstract: This presentation deals with identifying areas in the RAC environment that are bottlenecks and opportunities for tuning. This includes methods to identify these areas and obtain benchmarks using the AWR, SQL and other O/S utilities. After identification, changes that can be made to improve the processes at different levels including the hardware, O/S, and Database will be discussed. Additionally a list of best practices with items that should be avoided and things that should be implemented will also be shown. Improvements made to 10gr2 and 11g in regards to RAC will also be highlighted.
